Watershed

The LRCA's Area of Jurisdiction encompasses 2,719 square kilometres of the Lakehead Watershed. The scientific boundary of the Lakehead Watershed is 11,526 square kilometres in size. It's important to remember that all rivers and tributaries within the Lakehead Watershed flow into Lake Superior. As such, we administer many watershed management programs to help ensure the health of the watershed.
