Hazard Tree Program
A hazard tree is described as a tree that is dead, dying or highly likely to fall in a dangerous manner, potentially putting visitors at risk. Throughout the year, the Field Operations Staff of the Lakehead Region Conservation Authority will inspect all of the LRCA's Conservation Lands that are open to the public. During these inspections, any trees deemed to be hazard trees will be removed. This proactive practice is done to ensure the safety of all visitors to the LRCA's recreational Conservation Lands.
