Thunder Bay Community BioBlitz
Event Location: Mills Block Forest
Dates and Times: Friday May 26th (3:00 pm – 9:30 pm) and Saturday May 27th (9:30 am – 9:30 pm)
On May 26th and 27th, join Ontario Nature staff and local experts at the LRCA's Mills Block Forest for the Thunder Bay Community BioBlitz! This event will be one of 20 community bioblitzes happening across Canada as part of the Canadian Wildlife Federation’s BioBlitz Canada 150 initiative.
Over the course of two days, Ontario Nature staff will be offering a series of guided hikes and family-friendly activities designed to connect the public with the diverse range of species found in Thunder Bay. As we walk the trails, our team of experts and volunteers will help identify and share information on our local plant and animal species. Species groups covered at this event include birds, forest plants, reptiles and amphibians and more.
This is a FREE, family-friendly event; no experience required! For more information, or to volunteer, please contact Mallory at 807-286-1789 or visit bioblitzcanada.ca
